San Jose Wedding Photographer : Katie and Jeff

Katie glowed as she married Jeff at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph in San Jose on a glorious July day. Before the ceremony, Katie got ready at the Hotel De Anza in Downtown San Jose. Her best friend and mom helped her into her dress before heading out to The Rose Garden where Jeff was waiting to see her for the first time as a bride.  Towering redwood trees and blooming roses surrounded them as they shared a sweet few moments together.  I love a first look!

Isn’t this jade ring amazing? It was Katie’s grandmother’s ring.

The mass and wedding ceremony were beautiful in the stunning Cathedral.

Katie and Jeff took a pedicab to their reception- super cute!!

I loved how Katie and Jeff transformed this space.

They had an area just for kids complete with sitters. This made the reception fun for both the kids and parents!

I hadn’t seen this before… a kissing menu. I thought it was so sweet. Instead of clinking the glasses to make the bride and groom kiss, guests had to work a little harder. Guests could offer sage advice, serenade the couple, answer trivia about Jeff and Katie, demonstrate a kiss or tell a funny story involving the bride or groom. This turned the reception into a really fun, interactive party. And as it turned out, Jeff and Katie had some really talented singers in attendance!
